Dustin Lee Guedry is a singer and songwriter born and raised here in South Louisiana. He has been performing since 2015, playing in restaurants, bars, private events, fairs, and festivals. He is known for ENTERTAINMENT or as some of his friends, family, and fan base may call it, "bringing the party." For the upcoming year of 2022, along with a voice and a guitar, he is being accompanied by a group of guys who have a great love of music and a will and want to make their name known in the music industry. His setlist consist of original music and of course a variety including country, classic rock, oldies, and even some swamp-pop music. In 2019 he was contended to be one of Ascension Parishes entertainer of the year. With a true love for music and a passion to make an impact of his own in the music industry he is looking forward to the years to come!

2nd Annual Rock for Reclaimed Charity Music Festival
Rock for Reclaimed is a charity music festival benefitting Reclaimed Project and St. Lillian Academy. In its inaugural year, Rock for Reclaimed hosted local and national talent to raise funds for charity and unite the community through a love of live music. Coming off a successful inaugural event where over 1,000 tickets were sold, Rock for Reclaimed has left its mark on Baton Rouge and will be here for many more years. Sponsoring Rock for Reclaimed gives your business the opportunity to get your name in front of over 1,000 people, and to be associated with helping to support charitable efforts both locally and across the globe.
Rock for Reclaimed is a Greek-Fundraiser charity music festival where 100% of our profit goes to charity. The event will take place at the Revelry of Baton Rouge, 3347 Highland Road, from 8 P.M. to Closing on April 28, 2023. Throughout the night, four bands will play to an estimated crowd of over 1,500. Tickets will be available to any that want to attend to create an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.
The Inspiration
The idea for Rock for Reclaimed was born after one of our creators went to Jam for Cam in Athens, Georgia. Jam for Cam is a charity music festival held at the University of Georgia and is the largest Greek-Fundraiser on their campus.
Reclaimed Project is a non-profit organization based out of Mississippi whose goal is to serve orphans and vulnerable Children in Sub-Saharan Africa through the development of sustainable ministries in local communities. Reclaimed Project also generates opportunities for a sustainable income through the creation of handmade traditional African products. The fruits of their labor are then sold in local African Markets, as well as in U.S. stores and through the online Reclaimed Marketplace. The profits of these sales support their local orphan care centers, assisting in building a strong future for the most vulnerable communities. Reclaimed Project also functions within the United States with the same goal of serving orphans and vulnerable children through community development. Finally, Reclaimed Project provides college students with the opportunity to go to Africa and serve on mission trips and spend a summer of service with orphans and their caregivers in Lesotho, Africa.
At St. Lillian Academy, a faith-based school founded by professionals and parents, children with communication and learning challenges have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and enjoy rewarding lives as independent and engaged members of our community. St Lillian Academy educates a wide-range of students with a variety of diagnoses, such as down syndrome, developmental delay, speech and language delay, autistic spectrum disorder, apraxia, chromosomal abnormality, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, and ADHD. The mission of St. Lilian Academy is to provide a measurably effective education for students who have communication and learning challenges with a goal of ensuring that their students maximize their futures and become productive, contributing members of our community.

To any reasonable person, hearing music coming from an abandoned laundromat might give off the impression that it’s haunted. But don’t jump to too many conclusions, it could just be a new band practicing.
Inside what used to be Doc’s Laundry and Linen Service is a different type of dirty clothes: Doc’s Dirty Laundry.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Briston Maroney, Lynyrd Skynyrd and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, this band is taking Baton Rouge and other college towns gig by gig. They said that they live by one principle: “The chill comes first.”
They have had a quick start after a long break over the summer as they rearranged themselves to adjust to the loss of their original drummer.
Upon walking in the building, you’ll find yourself in a personalized practice room where Simon, lead singer Collin Blanchard, drummer Christian Wales and bassist Miles Walley practice at least twice a week. Decked out with string lights and a homemade Doc’s Dirty Laundry banner, the group has made it their own.
“There’s such a rich culture and a really cool group of people, especially at LSU,” guitarist Gordie Simon said about the music scene in Baton Rouge.
The group is booked and busy for the rest of the year, with shows going all the way into late November. The gigs aren’t just limited to Baton Rouge, and the band is excited to hit the road and head to other places like College Station to perform for Texas A&M’s fraternities.
They’re not new to travel, Simon recalled a time last semester when he received a call in class that the band had to be on the road that night to make it to a gig in Chapel Hill, North Carolina the next day.
“To do that in less than 12 hours notice is pretty dedicated to the craft,” Simon said.
A part of that “chill comes first” ethos shows in the group’s stage presence. One of the most notable features about the group is that they are usually in matching outfits, whether it’s suits, jumpsuits or lederhosen, they’re a packaged deal.
This past year, they’ve been on the move. Performing at Tiger TV’s “Battle of the Bands,” winning first place at Phi Mu’s “Bonnamu” and traveling to College Station, Texas to open for the Stews; they had a jammed-pack spring.
“We’ve been very fortunate with the opportunity to travel,” Simon said.
Audiences are usually greeted with tunes like Briston Maroney’s “Freakin’ Out on the Interstate” or Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie.” Like many other bands in the area, they’re hoping to slowly integrate some originals in the future. Nothing is coming out soon, but just keep an eye out because they’re slowly cooking
“It’s been a dynamic change. A really awesome dynamic change though,” Simon said. “We really hit the ground running.”
Whether it’s sleeping in hammocks while on the road, a trailer full of equipment detaching from their car on Interstate-10 or Wales’ bumper getting sawed off while they were busy on stage at their last performance at the Revelry, there’s always something going on with Doc’s Dirty Laundry.
