1714798800 Live Music Kristin Courville and Eric DiSanto Julien Poydras Museum and Arts Center May 4, 2024 May 4, 2024 7:00 PM 10:00 PM The acoustic duo, Cumberland County (Kristin Courville and Eric DiSanto) bring their fun, energetic brand of stories and songs to the Julien Poydras Center in New Roads as part of the Arts Council of Pointe Coupee 2024 Performing Arts Series on Saturday May 4th! This acoustic show will showcase the duo's knack for story telling and songwriting - with a few laughs sprinkled in here and there! Its going to be a fun evening! More info on Cumberland County: When Allentown, Pennsylvania native Kristin Courville met Royersford Pennsylvania’s own Eric DiSanto at a songwriter event in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the summer of 2016, neither realized the similarities in music, goals and dreams each had. But after one show together in January of 2017, Kristin and Eric knew they were on to something really special. After self producing and recording their debut album, Forty Two Miles, in 2017, which featured radio cuts "Wait For Now" and "Filling Up My Soul" they set out building a local fan base in their adopted Louisiana and touring along the Gulf Coast throughout early 2018. A name change in June 2018 to Cumberland County gave the duo a new look and approach when it came to the business side of making music. With the release of the single, “Flying in the Jet Steam”, produced and recorded in the couple’s own studio, Cumberland County began filling their calendar with shows from Texas to Florida to Nashville to New York City. Cumberland County continues to write and record new music with a new collection of music due in late 2024. During the short time Kristin and Eric have been making music together, the duo has had the good fortune of sharing the stage with the likes of Sonny Landreth, Steve Conn, Marcia Ball, James McMurtry, Will Kimbrough and and the Mulligan Brothers … just to name a few. Cumberland County’s live shows have also evolved over time. A mix of fun, original songs have kept audiences entertained while showcasing the duo’s vocal harmonies and songwriting. They’ve developed a sound that reflects their influences that come from rock, county, blues and Americana.
