Every second Saturday of the month from December to April, teens will get a chance to decompress and engage in fun physical activities while practicing social distancing with BREC on The Geaux & Health and Wellness activities with Our Lady of the Lake Health Centers in schools. Some activities include Fitness Bingo, Ninja Course, musical activities, and more! This is a FREE event. Pre-registration is free, but you must register to secure your spot!
AND A SPECIAL BONUS FOR THIS ONE - AN AFTER PARTY 2-4 p.m.
Join us to end our Pop Up and Unplug Series with a party! We will have a DJ, snacks, prizes and a foam party (weather permitting).

Grab your field guides and boots and join BREC naturalists and local scientists as we explore and document the diversity of life, or “biodiversity”, of Zachary Community Park. You can participate by attending a scheduled hike, helping to document species with local scientists, or signing up for a workshop where we will host special activities to learn through hands on sampling, live animal encounters, and more!
Visit our webpage for details on scheduled activities for both days focused on birds, reptiles and amphibians, plants, insects, and more! This is a free event for all ages.
