Join BREC’s Independence Park Theatre for a full day of inspiration, creativity, and community as we honor Black History Month through art, culture, and connection.
The celebration begins with a morning program (10 AM – 12 PM) featuring storytelling, music, and tributes to Black history’s most influential leaders, thinkers, and creators. Guests will enjoy a light breakfast and inspiring performances that highlight the beauty and strength of Black heritage.
The afternoon (12 PM – 5 PM) transforms the theatre grounds into a lively cultural marketplace with vendors, food trucks, live music, and family-friendly activities. Stroll Vendor Row, enjoy local cuisine, shop handmade art, and connect with community organizations celebrating the richness of African American creativity and history.
This event brings together all generations for a day filled with education, entertainment, and empowerment—celebrating the history and culture while creating a brighter, more connected future.
