Red Stick Farmers Market is an open air farmers market featuring locally-grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisan baked goods, meat, seafood, jams, pickles, fresh-cut flowers, and plants. The Farmers Market is held each Saturday from 8 am to noon at 5th and Main Streets in downtown Baton Rouge. The Farmers Market is held in conjunction with Main Street Market, downtown's indoor marketplace that includes local shops and restaurants serving breakfast and lunch. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration featuring local chefs is held at 10 am every Saturday at the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. On the first Saturday of each month, the Baton Rouge Arts Market joins the Farmers Market with over 50 local artisans and their handmade wares. The Arts Market is organized by the Arts Council.
