Johny Willis “AKA” King Solomon is a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, born in Mississippi and grew up in Minnesota. When he turned eighteen he joined The Percy Strother Band along with other professional musicians and toured extensively all over the United States and Europe. King Solomon was a mainstay performing with his keyboard and singing during lunch at the Piccadilly in Baton Rouge for eight years. His career spans decades performing with many successful, well known professional musicians and singers. Just to name a few KoKo Taylor, The Temptations (3rd group), Mojo Buford and many, many more. Currently Solomon is the funky bassist/vocalist with Kenny Acosta and The Geauxphonics. Solomon is also performing solo as a talented pianist and a smooth, classy lustrous vocalist with his keyboard that he can sequence his music with accompaniment from violin to a full orchestra. His rich vocals are all wrapped up in sounding very familiar to Nat King Cole, Lou Rawls, Fats Domino and Barry White that are part of his repertoire. Solomon’s creativity, charisma, and professionalism will keep you entertained for all occasions.
