Houston Ballet II Masterclass Saturday, March 28, 2026 4:30 PM 6:30 PM Manship Theatre (map) Ms. Myernick retired as a First Soloist in 2014 and transitioned into teaching shortly thereafter at the Houston Ballet Academy. In her current role as Principal Instructor, she oversees the school’s contemporary program, represents the Academy at national and international dance events, and serves as a primary coach for Houston Ballet II. As a repetiteur she has staged works by Artistic Director Stanton Welch, as well as ballets by choreographers Christopher Bruce, Ilya Kozadayev, Garrett Smith, and Alice Topp. In addition to her teaching, Ms. Myernick has lectured and led workshops within the local community through Houston Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement programs and various nonprofit organizations, including Hope Stone Inc. She married her husband, Kyle Kubin, in 2012. Together, they live in the Houston Heights with their two children, Edie and Leo.
