It’s an interesting story of how Laura Fontenot and Todd Stevens started Zachary’s newest Bar-B-Q restaurant, Maverick’s Q-N-Brew.<\/p>\n

What started out as smoking meats for personal consumption, developed into a Catering business which has now developed into\u00a0Maverick’s Q-N-Brew Restaurant in Zachary.<\/p>\n

Maverick’s Q-N-Brew\u00a0is not just another Bar-B-Q restaurant, this is a smokehouse. \u00a0Bar-B-Q is typically cooked over an open flame,\u00a0Maverick’s Q-N-Brew is about smoked meats.<\/p>\n

Smoking meat is an art that to master sometimes means you have to burn down the smokehouse (twice). \u00a0Most of us have experienced flame flare ups when cooking Bar-B-Q. \u00a0For Todd & Laura, those flare up’s are what ignited the purchase of a professional 250 gallon pit on wheels.<\/p>\n

After countless delay’s, Laura Fontenot and Todd Stevens repurposed the Old Train Depot in Zachary into Maverick’s Q-N-Brew. It’s a two story venue with balcony seating. \u00a0They were able to keep the original floors and have added bathrooms, a stage, an outdoor patio and more.<\/p>\n

During the LSU\/Southern football season there will be Live Music every Friday night. \u00a0After football season there will be Live Music Friday, Saturday & Sunday.<\/p>\n
